Worry

Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food and the body, more important than clothes? Matthew 6:25
Jesus tells us not to concern ourselves so much with earthly things. We should be more focused on eternal treasures. If we look at our world through eyes focused on God we will begin to see His blessings! We won't care so much about material things. While it's normal to worry about having shelter, food and clothes if we become too focused on worldly values we are not trusting God. This world tells us we need to have more! A bigger house, another car, another vacation and so on. We need to remind ourselves that these are only fleeting treasures. When we die these things remain. Wouldn't it be better to place our worries in God's hands? Life becomes so much simpler and easier when we do so. Our relationship with the Lord is strengthened when we cast our worries aside and trust in Him. He will provide! We may not be rich or have overflowing pantries of food but we have what the Lord thinks we need. You are blessed! You are rich in the Lord!
