You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the spirit, if the spirit lives within you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness. Romans 8:9-10
What is the Spirit? The Spirit is part of the Holy Trinity. As a Christian you must recognize that the Holy Spirit is an important part of your faith in Jesus Christ and God. The Holy Spirit is what fills your heart and opens your eyes to God. You cannot have faith without the Holy Spirit. It is important to pray that the Spirit come into your heart and guide you every day. Let the Holy Spirit be your conscience and help you problem solve. Many people often overlook the Holy Spirit and focus only on God or Jesus. While that's well and good you must not forget to include the Spirit. It completes the circle of faith and helps you to grow in your relationship with the Lord. Invite the Holy Spirit into your heart today and ask Him to help open your eyes and understand God's will for you.
