He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. Revelation 21:4
There are many types of pain. Physical, emotional, spiritual and more. Why does God allow us to feel pain? Does He feel pain? To answer the first question: pain is the consequences of sin. If there were no sin in this world we would be free of pain, sadness, and suffering. The good news is this: In Heaven there is no pain; no sin! That is where all Christians will be after they die. That's why Jesus went through the pain He did for us by dying on the cross. The answer the second question, yes God feels pain. I believe His pain is different from what we call pain. You better believe he has pain when he sees how evil has infested this world. You better believe He felt pain when His son was on that cross! He feels pain when we are sad or struggling or we lose a loved one. He wants our lives to be filled with joy and His glory. All I we need to do is ask. What comfort He can bring to those who are hurting. Think about the 9-11 attacks. While it was a tragic and devastating event in our lives it has brought our nation together! We are comforting our neighbor whom we didn't even know before the attacks happened. Look how many lives have been spiritually saved as a result of the attacks! What joy God must feel to see us work through our pain using His love! Although it may seem cruel for God to allow such painful events to happen in our lives remember that this is only a temporary place for us. All Christians will meet again in Heaven. Don't lose that focus!
