If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Fathers's commands and remain in His love. John 15:10
Most people do not like the word obey. To them it means not having your own say or choices. Does obeying our Father mean we lose our choices or say? Absolutely not! Obeying our Father is something Christians choose to do because we want to please our Lord! What does obeying our Lord entail? It's quite simple. We are to follow the 10 commandments (to the best of our abilities as imperfect humans!), witness to others, love one another, live a godly life, bring our prayers to God and to listen for His answers! It means not arguing with God and to accepting that what He says IS, period. To never challenge or test God. It may be hard to an unbeliever to understand how we could surrender ourselves 100% but it is a joyful action! We love our Lord and want His love and it comes naturally.
Of course, we will make our mistakes and God will discipline us but how wonderful it is to obey such an awesome God!
